week 22

I was feeling pretty good this week until my lower back started to ache all the way down my right leg, then I wasn’t feeling so good! I’ve also been having the occasional Braxton Hicks both this week and last, they’re not too uncomfortable yet but I still don’t enjoy them. Thank God Neil is about as helpful and patient a man as you could possibly ask for when pregnant. I thought I’d make myself feel better and wear out this new dress (which I somehow managed to get dirty in about 10 seconds flat) for our  photos, another item that I think will be on very high rotation over the next 4 months.

What do you mean get out of the way, can’t you see I’m just enjoying my juice!

week 21

It’s getting harder and harder these days to touch my toes!

And let’s not forget about my number 1 little bunny rabbit.

deep thoughts

We had brunch with some friends today who disappeared travelling 12 months ago. Last time they saw Paige she was just 6wks old! So jealous, they went everywhere possible… New York, London, Paris, everywhere in between… makes me feel like my time living in the UK was a million years ago! And never could I have imagined then that my life would be like it is now, and when you really sit down to think about it, it’s really strange how things work out, how one decision made differently could have taken you on a completely different path. The night I met Neil I can’t even tell you how close I had been to changing trains and going home, oh so so close. And if I had, none of this would ever have happened. Crazy scary!

super duper

I’ve been wondering whether to introduce some regular posts featuring Paige and her super duper stylish eye for baby fashions. She’s got almost as much vintage in her mini wardrobe as I do in my grown up wardrobe, and most of it is SO FREAKING CUTE it seems a shame not to share. What do you think? Something you guys would like to see here?

12 weeks

Paige is 3 months now and going strong; I’ve really no idea what I’m doing but she’s happy and smiley and gives good cuddles so I can’t be doing too badly! Thought I’d share some cute little shots of her and me doing what we do best (loosing track of time). I’m not a very good cameraman so don’t expect anything fancier than amateur footage here!

ink

I’ve been inked again, on my right wrist, 3 little circles, one for me, one for Neil and one for Paige. Like last time I took my time coming up with what I wanted and where, tattoos are a little too everlasting and not something I want to be blasé about! But I’m 100% satisfied with the result.

lazy afternoons dreaming of you

Christmas feast preparations are underway as of today; Neil has been pining for an English Christmas since I moved him here 4yrs ago. Roast turkey, chicken and vegetables drowning in gravy, red wine, sweet treats, pistachios for snacks and, most importantly, a big old Christmas pudding with custard and cream. All finished off with the obligatory afternoon nap.

2 whole months

I know everyone is saying it, and everyone says it every year, but I cannot believe that the year is almost over. Already! It’s gone by so fast I barely noticed it; I’m only just getting used to writing 2010 and now it’s about to change again! And let’s not even get started on the fact that Paige is 8 weeks old now. 2 whole months!!! I spent some time looking back through our photos of her and she’s already changed so much, almost makes me shed a little tear.

I seem to be favouring these little dresses with interesting backs. This one has somehow made it from the store stock rails into my own wardrobe as well. Hmmm… how did that happen!

Be sure to have a look in the re:new store, I’m listing new finds every day.

10 days

Crazy, it’s been 10 days already!
I’ve been dying to wear out the sneaky purchases I made while pregnant, none of which have ever actually been tried on before now. Online shopping is a dangerous thing when you’re waiting for a baby to arrive!

Lots of love and kisses being showered all over Baby Bubble at the moment. She’s just so darn cute and well behaved.

cherub

Don't worry, I'm still here, just a little preoccupied at the moment.
My Baby Bubble (now officially known as Paige) arrived into the world on the 19th and is currently in the running for sleeper of the year. Love her!
