week 27

In the words of Ashley… getting dressed now is ‘all about trying not to look like a tent. Or a whale. Or a house. Even though I feel like one.’ I’m so tempted to buy myself some pregnant lady clothes but that sensible internal voice keeps saying ‘but you’ll only be wearing them for 12 more weeks, last time you managed to wait it out’. Damn you sensible!

This week I’ve been feeling a bit restless, a bit up and down emotionally, helped none by restless sleep and being woken up with massively painful leg cramps in the middle of the night (lets not even mention how many bathroom breaks are required throughout the night when you’re pregnant)! And have I mentioned before how much this baby moves? What can he possibly be doing in there that requires so much activity! But I'm pretty pleased with myself for getting Paige into a good routine of tidying up her books and toys at the end of the day with the promise of watching half an hour of TV before bed, now I don’t have to bend down and pick anything up. hehe Clever mummy!

week 26

I need someone to come round to my house and help me up off the floor; I don’t look anywhere near as big in these photos as what I feel!!!

week 25

Sorry, MIA! I just couldn’t bring myself to blog last week; I’ve been so tired and super busy with renovations I needed a break from online and having to think too much about what I might be wearing. But Saturday I had a little catch up with Lauren so between the raindrops we shot some pics which was fun, she’s always so good for a laugh.

So I looked back at some blog pics to this time last pregnancy and whoa mumma, I am so much bigger this time around! Some things are hard for me to gauge because I knew about Paige a lot earlier than this pregnancy but I feel like it’s getting tough much earlier this time (I’ll never be to one to say I love being pregnant so bear with me over the next 3 months!), or maybe I’ve just forgotten?! Obviously it's not all bad; it’s so amazing to now be able to feel and see his little hands and feet pushing me, he’s pretty busy in there!

week 22

I was feeling pretty good this week until my lower back started to ache all the way down my right leg, then I wasn’t feeling so good! I’ve also been having the occasional Braxton Hicks both this week and last, they’re not too uncomfortable yet but I still don’t enjoy them. Thank God Neil is about as helpful and patient a man as you could possibly ask for when pregnant. I thought I’d make myself feel better and wear out this new dress (which I somehow managed to get dirty in about 10 seconds flat) for our  photos, another item that I think will be on very high rotation over the next 4 months.

What do you mean get out of the way, can’t you see I’m just enjoying my juice!

week 21

It’s getting harder and harder these days to touch my toes!

And let’s not forget about my number 1 little bunny rabbit.

week 20

I have to be honest, I think I’m going to have to give the heels away, they ain’t so easy now I’ve got some extra width going on; my centre of gravity is just a little bit different! And I’ve had to buy a stool to sit beside the bath with Paige every night because from here on in, I might be able to get down to sit on the floor but I’ll need some kind of elaborate pulley system to get me back up again. Can’t believe I’m halfway there already!

week 19 - its a boy

These photos didn’t turn out quite how I had envisaged because it’s so windy here in Sydney, we took about 100 shots just to get these two, hard to control balloons in the wind ya know! But you get the idea right? This time round we’re having a BOY! Yaaaaay! There’ll be no one sided arguments in my house, no no, it will always be 2 against 2 now!

week 18

It was a time out day today after a really busy week; Paige and I took a few days to road trip back from Qld to Sydney, I’ve been finalising details for renovations to start at home over the next week, did a market stall with Poppy Dreams at Glebe (and again this Saturday at Dear Pluto…), plus, you know, I’ve been busy growing a baby ‘n stuff!
I’m so excited for this coming week, mainly because on Tuesday we find out if we’ll have a boy or another girl on our hands. I don’t know how anybody waits 9 months to find out, the suspense would kill me! haha

week 17

I love these palazzo pants; the elastic waistband is going to serve me well!
Err... I miscalculated my weeks last week, good start! So actually we’re at week 17 now, only 5 months to go!

week 15

The big secret? Alannah got it in one… baby #2 is on its way! I’m pregnant again, 15 weeks. Surprise!!!
I’ve been inspired by maternity series other bloggers have done, namely my favourites Bleubird Vintage and Pacing the Panic Room, so this time I’ve decided I’d like to document my pregnancy here on the blog. Each week I’ll photograph the bump as it gets more and more ginormous and write a little note to our growing baby. So I guess this is the first of many…
