When I was a kid I would be so thrilled with my new shoes that I’d wear them to bed. In fact there is a rather embarrassing video of me when I was about 6 years old, still in my pyjamas, grinning like a maniac and swinging my feet around with brand new sandals whipping through the air. I’d like to say my immediate attachment to new shoes has since diminished… but I can’t. Although, luckily for Neil, I do manage to refrain myself from wearing them to bed!

oh gosh! how funny I used to do the same thing when I was a little kid!! I distinctly remember being around 3 and my mum buying me a pair of yellow big bird thongs with the strap around the back and being so chuffed by them that I wore them to bed!! hahah so cute.
