Ok so, here are some ‘what it looks like now and what it looked like not so long ago’.
It never ceases to amaze me how much better some of these dresses look once you snip off some length, hence removing the overpowering feeling of the prints and creating a unique dress that you just know no one else will have. More often than not, while I’m photographing them, I find myself thinking ‘oooh, I’m really pleased with how this one has turned out!’
When I’m out searching I always try to imagine who would wear each item and how; I imagine the floral dress to be worn a bit 'grungey' and paired with torn stockings, Docs and perhaps a denim jacket; the red dress with the sequin shoulder paired with opaques and killer platform heels, out for cocktails; the denim dress on someone super cute with quirky shoes and perhaps a bow in her hair... You get the idea. Hopefully I’m not too far off the mark and my finds, with the new lives I imagine they are going to, are making their new owners happy.
As I said in the last post, this weeks guest modelling efforts come from Ayesha of Ayetah Vintage (who have just listed some cute little vintage accessories you can check out here). We had so much fun I’ve convinced her to come back for round 2 this week as well.
