when life gives you lemons...

I’ve had such a good response when wearing this dress I’m blogging it again.
Is that a blogger sin?
Who knows but I’m doing it anyway.

First day back home again today, feels like I’ve been away FOREVER!
I returned with 55kg of vintage that now needs sorting but I had planned to instead spend today taking photos of the 50+ items I already have prepped however my camera remote has decided that it doesn’t want to work with re:new anymore, which makes the process a whole lot harder.
I don’t want to use my blog to complain about things but this is my 3rd major drama with camera remotes and, to be honest, I’m finding it to be a very irritating occurrence because I need one to really work efficiently. So now I am waiting for a call from my supplier to tell me when another replacement will arrive. *sigh*

So change of plans today! This is what I wore out of the house (first job, check letterbox to see if Henry Holland tights have arrived, sadly not) to do nothing particularly exciting enough to blog about. Let’s just say my fridge is now fully stocked and I’ve unnecessarily added to the stockpile of vintage I need to sort!
Good for me and good for you, we all win!

  1. where do you get your remotes from lovely? i purchased mine from an online camera store in sydney and i haven't had any troubles with it. it cost me about $99 but it still hasn't run out of batteries and it's been nearly 3 months :)

    it's called digitalphotographics, i think?

and i agree, love that dress on you!

  2. Got it from the Digital Camera Warehouse. I'd go somewhere else but they wouldn't refund my first one because I didn't keep the original packaging (grrrr) so I have a credit there gets used.
The main problem is that I use a EOS 1000D which isn't compatable with the infrared remotes so there seems to be just the one kind of wireless that I can use, and it's troublesome!

Bought the camera before I started re:new, wish I'd known then.

  5. Don't worry, I had a good whinge on my blog today too. Sometimes it's nice to vent your frustrations out!

    P.S
I purchased my remote control from ebay for $10 and it's been great - had it over a year with no problems so knock on wood my clean run continues :)

  7. Kimmie - Canon. There seems to be a serious gap in their remote range as none of them work on the 1000D! Makes no sense to me!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. The dress is going in the winner pile! hehe
