Do people these days prefer to buy on eBay via auction or Buy It Now? I often get emails from people asking to BIN prices on current auctions, although mostly they are items that already have bids on so the answer is sorry, no. But I am quite interested to know which you prefer so please, share your thoughts.
I like buy nows the most! I'm so impatient - I hate waiting for auctions to end!

BUY IT NOW, for sure!
ReplyDeleteIf there's no bids on it and someone asks me to Buy It Now and is giving me a reasonable price, I don't mind, but otherwise I'm with you! Nope, try and win it, that's the whole point of an auction! As a buyer, either or, doesn't really matter as long as I win it :)

Depends on the item really. I'm sick of paying stupid amounts of money on vintage clothng. But it's very rare to see vintage items on Buy It Now. I prefer either because if I really want it I'll keep bidding till I get it!
ReplyDeleteSO glad I found your blog...another aussie blogger YAY!
I guess there is advantages to both - I prefer auction but I think it's because, being an avid op-shopper, I like the thrill of the hunt! I usually click 'auction's only' when I'm on eBay. And the BIN prices are usually really high!
ReplyDeleteThat velvet jacket is gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteThat red velvet jacket is beautiful! I don't mind if it's buy it now or bid really, i suppose i'd prefer buy it now if it was a difficult time for me to be around and bid but that's it really!
ReplyDeleteLove the stuff you've got up for sale!

i dunno, i dont really buy on ebay but i am now selling on there. I haven't had anyone asking for buy it now prices and people seem happy to bid. I'd rather do a buy it now price but i doubt people would buy!
ReplyDeleteHey lovely,
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through Your Only Black Swan. So great to see another Aussie blogger :)
I have bought things at both auction and buy it now prices. I don't really mind either, as long as I can justify the amount for what I am buying.
I have recently started selling vintage items on ebay and I find the market so competitive.
Do you have any tips for a new seller?
I am sticking to auctions for the mean time but not having any luck - sold about 4 out of 12 items. Any advice would be a godsend!
